Your best NYE party look yet...

What are the key pieces that make up a fabulous New Years Eve outfit?

Why ask such an easy question?

Okay – I lie. Mastering a standout NYE look can be a painstaking task. What, with all the shopping around trying to find fun pieces that shout “Pop the champers and light up the fireworks” without seeming as though you’ve gotten dressed in the dark, sporting heels so high you can’t even bust a move when MC Hammers Can’t Touch This finally hits the decks (we always know it will, so might as well start choreographing some dance moves now).

I’ve picked out some lust worthy pieces that make up one jaw dropping last-day-of-the-year-so-better-make-it-fashionable look. There is enough pizzazz, pops of colour and chic’ness to carry you through any 31st of December occasion, even a backyard soiree with your close girlfriends as you make your way through a bottle, or three, of Moscato.

This year play up the frills and give sequins a rest. This Preen Line dress is so versatile as it’s made from a light weight cotton. The statement neon green back is also a little contemporary and fun. It will offset perfectly with the following key accessories!

Dress up your neck line too! Because you’re staying clear of sequins, you need to inject some sparkle onto your neckline. Give the fireworks a run for its money I say! I think this Shourouk Swarovski crystal necklace, with accents of neon orange, gives off enough glam but also play into the colour scheme of the Preen Line Dress.

Be tickled pink! Play up your inner Carrie and clash some feminine colour with these to-die-for Brian Atwood hot-pink calf hair heels. The multiple ankle straps will also make you feel secure all night, even after one too many!

Hold what is most important to you close, and never let it go. For most of us it’s a fail safe lipstick and a natural looking blusher. Keep these darlings safe in an orange crocodile party clutch by Nancy Gonzales. This colour was specifically chosen to link back in with the statement necklace.

Hope you loved! Let me know what you think, and I’m wishing you all a fantastic NYE filled with love, good food and good company!
