Rooney Mara in the nude...

Get your mind out of the gutter! I obvs' didn't mean that she's naked! I totally meant that she's sporting a chic fleshy-toned frock that's so similar to her own skin colouring that she's awash of creamy beige. Duh!

Anywho, who says that us pale skinned girls can't wear equally light clothing? I actually think that Rooney looks amazing in this frock and considering shes the new face of Calvin Klein perfume, she does know a thing or two about effortless style.

Here she's pictured at last nights Calvin Klein Celebration of Woman in Film at Cannes Film Festival. She's enjoying the A-list life while promoting her latest role in Ain't Them Bodies Saints.

Back to that dress! (we can't be distracted from lesser-important things in life like Jobs! And Responsibilities! And long important titles! Especially when cripplingly important things like fashion are at play. Geez!

The point is yes, you too can get this amazing and super effortless look. All you need to do is paint your toenails burgundy, throw on said dress, spritz hairspray throughout your locks and brush back into a slick low bun, apply a little charcoal eyeshadow and accessorise with one gold bangle. Finito.

Essie in "Carry On" is a winner.

Alexander Wang ready to wear S/S 2013

Alexander Wang’s new ready to wear S/S 2013 collection can only be summed up as a structured monochromatic dream.

The designer stayed to a strict colour palette of black, white and occasionally a creamy tan at New York Fashion Week. The silhouettes seen parading down the runway to tunes like Put Cha Back In It by DJ Slink, were structured and architectural, framing the female form in armoured Wang-ness.

Highlights of the show were the leather A-cut tops and mid thigh shorts that were cut into rows and attached with small fragments of the same material. This is a new look that is sure to explode within high street fashion chains.

Gladiator heels and flats featuring strips of black or white textile in luxe patent also created a neo-futuristic feel.

Soft billowy materials in crisp white made for a perfect base that allowed for ease of movement, essential for an everyday ensemble.

Wang has done it again.

So hot white now...

Hanneli Mustaparta and her statement white 3.1 Phillip Lim handbag.

White handbags are the hottest accessory trend of the moment. After having a ponder, I've put this down to the new wave of 'sport-chic dressing' that has exploded internationally. This colour is a contemporary variation from the classic black or tan carry-all's that are a universal wardrobe staple that we see everywhere.

Key designer players that have mastered this trend and have put their own spin on the new must-have-accessory are Phillip Lim with his 3.1 Phillip Lim range, Alexander Wang and Theyskens Theory.

The list that I've just rattled off concretes one thing. Each name can be identified as being placed in the more edgy, androgynous and forward thinking category of designer masterminds.

To update your look, I've collected the best white bags that can all be bought online, which means one of these bags, that is literally white off the runway, could be yours in only a few clicks.

Alexander Wang with his signature metal hardware corners.

Marc Jacobs bucket bag with standard centered logo.

3.1 Phillip Lim structured satchel with tell tale Phillip Lim side zips.

Rebecca Minkoff's gorgeous and ultra chic bag with chain detailing.

Theyskens Theory's buttery soft everyday satchel is to-die-for.
